Measurements, calculations, planning, fitting, education
- Careful measurements are made of the front surface of your eye (the cornea)
- A plan is developed based on your current amount of nearsightness, the current curvature and size of your corneas and the expected rate and amount of change.
- Based on this work, we start assessing the initial re-shaping lens while the lens is on your eye, and may make initial modifications to our calculations.
- When we do determine the optimal re-shaping lens, we have you start your overnight wear, educate you in the proper insertion, removal and care of your lenses and begin monitoring the changes made to your vision over the following weeks.
Re-shaping starts
- Lenses are worn overnight and then your eyes are re-evaluated after 1 day
Re-shaping Continues:
- Lenses are re-evaluated in the following weeks and adjustments made until vision and comfort is optimal
Goals Achieved:
- Lenses only worn at night while you sleep
- Vision clear and comfortable during daytime hours without lenses.
